The iPhone 4 camera feature a 5 megapixel camera with 5x digital zoom, and an LED flash. This is an upgrade over the iPhone 3GS’s 3 MP camera. The iPhone 4 camera also features a backside illumination sensor, which allows for better shooting in lower lighting situations. Operating System: The many differences between Apples iPhone OS and Googles Android OS are beyond the scope of this brief comparison. Suffice it to say, though, that the two operating systems have some similarities and quite a few differences. Perhaps the biggest difference between the two platforms is the open nature of Android, allowing anyone to develop software for Android devices, and letting Android users heavily customize their phones with anything from widgets to changes to the core interface. Android is also known for its multitasking abilities. While the iPhone 3GS is currently incapable of true multitasking, this significant shortcoming is scheduled to be rectified with the release of the next version of the iPhone OS this summer. Camera: At 3-megapixels, the iPhones camera can be considered entry-level by some standards — particularly with the rapid pace of technological advancement in the wireless world. In comparison, the DROID Incredible by HTC is equipped with a powerful 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus and a bright dual LED flash. While the iPhone 3GS does have auto-focus, it lacks a flash. For now Flash 10.1 isn’t available for mobile devices. Nevertheless this video shows what will be possible with Flash 10.1. Four mobile phones: Iphone 3gs, Nexus One, Motorola Droid and Palm Pre are being tested in this video. They are running Flash videos or games like Farmville. Flash 10.1 should be coming out for Android, Symbian OS, Palms webos, Windows Mobile and the Blackberry-Plattforms.
