yes u can record with the 3g or 2g or 1g but it has to be jailbroken
if u do jailbreak then go to cydia and install cycorder!!!!!

is better if u get the 3gs is more cheaper then the 3g
@datfreshhboynyc5 the 3g cannot record video. If you jalbreak your phone you will can record though.
