Yup! LOL it works fine with Tmobile, when I switched over they even asked me if the phone was unlocked! So I guess a number of people have already called and switched from AT&T to Tmobile. In my opinion, Tmobile has better customer service.

Yes, everything the Iphone has to offer you get to have, except for the 3G, but still works and reasonably fast.

Well, when you unlock your phone to use it with Tmobile, you have to turn off the 3G feature. Unlocked phone can’t use the 3G version.

Is that just with T-Mobile, because it doesn’t support the same 3G network, or would one not be able to use 3G on international GSM carriers as well?
I’m not so sure with International carriers, I would have to guess it depends where you are. In the US T-mobile can not use the 3G function, it would have to be turned off.

how did you get that iphone, did you buy it without a contract or cancel your att contract?
u can buy the iphone already unlocked or, yes without a contract. i myself purchased an already unlocked\jailbroken iphone which costs about 500 for a 16gb and 600 for a 32gb
after you unlock it where do you install apps? and r they free?
This is what I did.
When the iphone came, I couldn’t do anything because it was asking for a SIM card and it would only let me slide to make an emergency call. My grandparents have AT&T phones (not iphones so just as long as the SIM card is at&t or cingular) and I took their SIM card out of their phone and put it in the iphone. While the SIM card is in the iphone, set it up in itunes. You can then take out the SIM and use the iphone like the ipod, then jailbreak and unlock and use t-mobile.

does this take away 3g if im on t mobile
soooooo you can only unlock the iphone 3gs if your using t mobile???? i know some ppl thathave at&t and still want it unlocked because they want cydia or to do some other stuff to their phone

lets you use other carriers on your iphone.
unlock means you can use other carriers. not get free games.
free games using something else.
Hey, I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now. I have an ipod touch (jailbroken thanks to you!), and I want to switch to an iphone (who dosen’t?), and I was wandering, if I buy an iphone off ebay unlocked, or i unlock it myself, will i have to pay AT&T’s data fees from my sim? or dose me unlocking it stop that? And is it dose thats awesome, if not do i need to switch to t-mobile? I just want to get around at&t’s data fees. Thanks a bunch.

but how much did it cost u to actually purchase the iphone on ebay, i hate the bid shit on ebay, i just want to buy an iphone straight up. im seeing iphones without a contract being the same amount i could get for an already unlocked and jailbroken iphone
Well, I’ve found a couple on ebay under “buy now” for under $600.
Sometimes you just need to get lucky and find the low prices at the right time.
