unlock is that, that when you unlock your phone, it can run on any network, jailbreak is hacking the software, then you can do ALOT of customizing and other stuff that the company doesn’t let you do.
ok i am yet to get my iphone, but i was wondering if i can test it out on my ipod touch right now, but other then that, i currentley have sprint Data plan, so i really want the iphone for sprint cuz its kick ass, but yea i want to unlock it so i can use it on sprint, but i have read a bunch of stuff, and heard alot of rumors saying it cant run with, sprint cuz of the Server CDMA or sumfin like that, but if u do kno it works on sprint plese let me know thanks

it has to be Tmobile because the iPhone uses GSM networks witch means sim cards and stuff . sprint dosent use sim cards

when its unlocked to t mobile, can you still just pop in your friends AT&T SIM, while you are on T Mobile? so can i just switch the SIMs from one to the other, while its unlocked, or will it get screwed up if i put an AT&T SIM into an unlocked phone.?!

If Verizon is a GSM carrier (not sure cuz im not from the states) then you should be able to.
You would just have to ask Verizon for a SIMCard with your gf’s PLan and phone number and you put your simcard in the unlocked iphone

Thanks for clarifying at the end about unlocking the phone. I plan on using only at&t so there is no point of onlocking the phone. Does anyone see a point of doing it? Does it have any benifit.
