Posted on september 21, 2009 by admin

IMPORTANT: This video is for those who have IPhone 3g with Bootloader 5.08. Many users who have upgraded their Iphone 3g to 3.1 firmware have lost there Unlock as well. Meaning they are not able to use it with T-mobile or any other Un-Official Carriers. The reason being 3.1 Firmware upgrades the baseband from 04.26.08 to 05.11.07 and this 05.11.07 cannot be unlocked with Ultrasnow or Purplesnow. But only at one condtion as described in this video that you have to have Iphone 3g with 5.08 …

Ok now if u have downgrade your iPhone to 3.0 and u said your baseband is same 5.11.07 then jailbreak your iPhone and then go to cydia and download this “fuzzyband”. It will tell you if you are able to do it or not dependfing on your bootloader. This fuzzyband will tell u your bootloader in top when u run it and if u have 5.08 bootloader iPhone then u r very lucky. Good luck.

If u use windows operating systems then some people have made custom firmware files through which u can jailbreak your 3.1 but many users including me are not successful with those custom firmware files on windows operating systems. So u have to do it with pwnagetool on mac computers.

i okay i had no luck, unfortunutly i have 5.09 so no luck there. but if i borrow a freiends mac is there a way for me to fix this

  4. emac2299 zegt:

No, because it’s not the computer but it’s your iPhone that has to have bootloader 5.8. So even using a mac computer will not solve this. Thes iPhones with 5.08 were made in beginning cycle of iPhone 3g. All iPhone 3g made before September 2008 have bootloader 5.08 but anything after that don’t.

no. i was asking if i use the idevs pwnage tool can i fix my iphone that way? i have the baseband from the 3.1 on there. i know the dev team has made it possible to unlock the 3.1 but will it work with the baseband i have.

  6. emac2299 zegt:

Ok you are right but this is possible if u use pwnagetool jailbreak method prior to update your iPhone 3.1. But you said that you upgraded it and now you downgraded it to 3.0 so this is not going to change now. Even pwnagtool cannot do it because pwnagetool actually uses it’s custom build firmware and allow us to update to 3.1 without touching baseband. So that’s pretty much it.

  7. mobilelectronics zegt:

ohh so there is no way possible that i can revert back to the old baseband? my only options are to restore and sell my iphone to an att customer or wait for a new unlock right?

  8. thino zegt:

i have bootloader: 6.02 and baseband 05.11.07, i guess this wont work will it. firmware 3.1 JB.? any work arounds.

  9. emac2299 zegt:

Signs of reverting back doesn’t look good. But dev team is very smart team. I am pretty sure that they will be working on cracking this 5.11.07 baseband. Let’s wait and hope for better.

  10. emac2299 zegt:

Sorry friend. Negative on that. But let’s wait for this new 5.11.07 baseband , when it gets unlocked. Let’s see.

  11. thino zegt:

so will turbo sim or any piggyback sim management work on this? in the mean time?

  12. emac2299 zegt:

Nope, no turbo sim has been invented yet to unlock this 5.11.07. Not yet. So no Way around.

  13. mobilelectronics zegt:

do you know if there working on a fix for this yet or not?

  14. emac2299 zegt:

Yes they are, but when it’s going to be positive we don’t know yet.

  15. michelt69 zegt:

how i can change the bootloader 05.09 to 05.08 i have a mac

  16. emac2299 zegt:

No computer can change that. Bootloader comes factory installed and we cannot do any ammendments.

  17. sattar172005 zegt:

fuckkkkkkkk im fucking mad now i got bootloader version 05.09..help please

  18. emac2299 zegt:

That’s from the chemicals that I deal in everyday.

  19. emac2299 zegt:

If u have 5.09 bootloader then sorry friend no luck till an unlock for 5.11.07 comes out.

  20. sachin30us zegt:

Emac2299.. If i take my iphone to india with the 5.09 bootloader and the latest 3.1.1 update and ask them to unlock in there.. would they be able to?… let me know thanks

  21. emac2299 zegt:

Sorry friend, even then they cannot unlock it because of 5.09 bootloader. Once we officially upgrade our iPhone 3g to 3.1 then we cannot downgrade the baseband. We can successfully do firmware downgrade and every other thing but baseband never gets downgraded. Only if in near future hackers develop such a program to downgrade 5.11.07 baseband then it is possible. Or if some one out there invent a Turbo/Rebel sim to Unlock it.

How did you install Cydia? I have a 3g, after I upgraded to 3.1 i lost Cydia on my phone, and now i dont know where to get it back.. help?

  23. emac2299 zegt:

Allright, this I have mentioned in the video too that since official jailbreak of 3.1 for windows computer is not out yet but on mac computer you can jailbreak 3.1 through pwnagetool. So I used a mac computer and jailbroke my iPhone 3g. Now u said that u have 3.1 so downgrade your iPhone from 3.1 to 3.0 from instructions given in my last video on 3.1 firmware. Then go to Cydia and download “fuzzyband” and it will tell u your bootloader. Please make sure to read the description of my last video

  24. abercrombie9stud2 zegt:

How did you Jailbreak it? .. I wanna cry!! I can’t do anything with my phone!!

    mee to :*(

You saved me $405. Thank you so much for posting this information. I was one of the lucky ones who could downgrade the firmware, but I never would have figured out how to do it on my own. I have not felt this grateful to a stranger.
    Thanks again.
